TEAM FORREST CHARITY WALK - SUN 8th JULY 2018
||Just to let everyone know that we completed our 10 mile charity walk (raising funds for Alzheimers Society) and most importantly we managed to bring everyone home that started the walk too! A few blisters, lots of tired limbs - but a great experience, and thank you to everyone that has helped raise sponsorship for this great cause. It's still not too late to make a donation if you would like to - simply visit our JustGiving page and you can donate from there (or make a donation in the surgery)

Don't forget that you can order repeat prescriptions, book, check and cancel appointments and view a summary of your medical record 24/7 using our Online Services. This is available for all patients aged 16+.
Please ask at reception or download and return this form (along with your proof of ID) to register for these services.

NATIONAL AWARD FOR FORREST MEDICAL CENTRE
Forrest Medical Centre has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for our commitment to workplace health, safety and welfare!
This has been awarded by Peninsula Business Services, a national company that provide professional services to business across the whole of the UK - so this is something quite prestigious and something we are rightly proud of!
This award demonstrates and shows our commitment to safe, quality services - to both patients and staff - and we plan on only getting even better!
Please be aware that from 1st November 2015 we will no longer accept repeat prescription requests via the telephone before 10.30am. This is to keep the phone lines free from those with an emergency first thing in the morning.
Requests will be taken on the telephone after 10.30am as usual. The online repeat ordering service is available 24/7 365 days a year - please ask at reception if you would like to register for this.
NAMED GP FOR ALL PATIENTS
From 1 April 2015, practices are required to allocate a named GP to all patients (including children). All new patients will be allocated their named GP within 21 days of registration. For existing patients we will allocate a named GP. If you want to know who your named GP is then please just ask at reception.
If any patient requests a particular GP as their named GP instead of the one allocated, then we will always try to arrange this.
Having a named GP does not mean that you have to see that doctor; you are welcome to see the GP you usually see, or the GP you would want to see for a particular problem – even if they are not your named GP.
Just as now, the GP you usually see, or your named GP, will not always be available and there will be times when you see different GPs in the practice. We do work as a team at the practice, and that will still be the case – there will always be a doctor to take responsibility for you.
The benefit of having a named GP is that if you were ever to feel that you needed one doctor in particular to take responsibility for looking after you, then you already have the name of the doctor who is happy to take on that role.
