Test Results

How and when to obtain test results from the surgery

When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results.

Please allow sufficient time to have passed before calling the surgery to enquire about results. If you have had multiple tests, then it is better to wait until they have all been reported on before requesting an appointment.

Please note that you will not be contacted if your result is normal - we will contact you by telephone (text or call), or by letter, only if a result is abnormal and you require treatment or further investigations.

To obtain your results, please complete a RapidHealth Form or by using the NHS app

If your test has been requested by a clinic or hospital please call the relevant clinic or hospital for the result, as we cannot action tests which have been requested by other clinicians outside of the surgery.

Due to our confidentiality and data protection policies, we will only give results to the person who has had the test.

Receptionists are not clinically qualified and so are not trained to read the results.
